Receiving Proxy Error since Feb 2, 2013.

I've researched the error and found one similar complaint indicating that it was a facebook unique Virus.  I used the malware scanner that was recommended, ComboFix and it told me I have two viruses on my computer and to purchase their product to eliminate the viruses.  However, when I use my own Virus protection software, they aren't found.  Also, when I start my computer in Safe Mode and try to find those viruses where the software scan told me they were, they were again not found.  I've done a System Restore to before the Proxy error started, and yet it is still there.  I don't believe I have a virus.
