No email access all day

Can't log into email - says there is issue with "my credentials". Got a acct mgr on phone, she didn't know of problems, sent me to "Tech Support", who insisted I had to have Comcast internet (we have cable, but not internet) to get email. I said up until today had no problems, I've had this email addy for nearly 15 years. AFter 20 minutes on hold, call terminated. What is going on???
