Email Down - Customer Service Response

Finally got through to a customer service rep, after a very long wait. Was told email servers are down for "routine maintenance" and will be back up in an hour or two. However, the call center was in India, the woman I spoke with barely spoke English, and she was obviously reading off a script with no actual comprehension of what I was saying or what the problem was. I thought Comcast was an American company. How about hiring American workers? And how about putting announcements of significant outages on your web site, BEFORE you take the whole system down? I cannot wait for Super WiFi, Google Cable and other alternatives to up-end this company.
