Email id and password rejected from remote email clients.

When attempting to access email accounts from Thunderbird, iPad, Kindle, etc., all are rejected with an authorization error. The worked until 5/22, then had intermittent problems on 5/23, and the same on 5/24. I have checked the server names, ports, and security settings, so that is not the problem. Even using the ATT-Yahoo login pages, sometimes they get through and sometimes they hang and timeout.
