Error 999 Message

When trying to get my email via my SeaMonkey browser, I am getting an alert that says:"Sending of password did not succeed. Mail Server xxxx responded: invalid user/password (error 999)" This started a couple of days ago for some reason and is sporadic. I have seen others say the same is happening to them. I have made no changes and have used the same password and browser for years. It sounds like it's on the ISP side.
