CrashPlan Down - ANSWER from Support

After over 24 hours since I was able to connect to CrashPlan Central, I recieved an answer from support giving me a link to their forums with an explanation.

 

Their post read:

Late yesterday, we performed unscheduled maintenance on cloud environments. Additionally, one of our data centers in the United States experienced a connectivity outage overnight. These events affected users of CrashPlanPROe, CrashPlanPRO and CrashPlan+.   Most of these systems are now online and connectivity issues are subsiding. While backup data was not at risk at any time, a significant number of users were unable to back up or restore during the outage. If you were affected, please accept our sincerest apology.  Ultimately, we are working towards resolving all remaining issues and will update this post as soon as we have more information.
