web pages associated with "angelfire" and "Lycos" won't load (for at least the past 24 hours)

Trying to access angelfire/lycos webpages via downloaded links, search engine links, and direct URL addresses... nothing loads, address inputs keep "rendering" but never cancel out to display a "time-out" or "server cannot be reached" message.
