can't do anything

I've been trying to get on to the site since yesterday morning to order something. Sometimes I get absolutely no where - not even to the home page - and other times it breaks down when I want to add the item to my cart. I've not yet been successful in getting something into my cart. This is my first time using ebay, and to say the least, I'm not impressed!
