It is now 2019 and this is still an issue. I used Mercari.com to order a package. When I placed and confirmed my order I set it to be sent to my apartment. After finishing up and confirming my order I realized that the app had reverted my current address to one of my prior address options. In an attempt to regain my package without having to cancel my order I put my mail to that address on hold and tried to do a package intercept immediately and constantly recieved this message. On Friday I began calling the USPS help line, after waiting for over an hour and getting nowhere I decided to try again later. On Saturday after completing 8 calls to try and find the proper menu item sequence and waiting 2 hours to talk to a rep I was told to wait and see if i could get anything done when the package arrived to its next postal center. Sunday, the package arrived to its next postal center, I couldnt tell if the mail hold was being inacted at all but I tried the website again and this message returned each time without fail and as we all know... no customer service reps on Sundays and the automated hoe is no help. Monday came so I woke up at 7:20 and sat with my phone in hand so that when 8:00 hit I could be one of the first people to talk to a rep problem is this Monday is MLK Day and no one was there to answer. Today is now Tuesday and if this hold doesnt work even tho I got the confirmation email my mail is going to whoever lives at my old address. Please send prayers bc USPS has fell through 9 out of 10 times so far and I'm just praying that this hold is actually active
