I am extremely frustrated.  May 2016 and getting the same error message!  Tried calling post offices and USPS.  They suggested I call IT and state they there is nothing that they can do over the phone. I originally called right after the package was picked up from my house, before it had been shipped out of my local post office!  This is an expensive product and I can't afford for it to fall into the wrong hands and have someone else keep the item.  I accidentally shipped the item to a previous customer with a similar name to the customer I was supposed to ship it to. What am I supposed to do next?
