Unable to connect. Panasonic SmartTV. Internet working.

Netflix app starts to load. red screen with Netflix logo and loading bar. Screen refreshes and loading bar hangs. After 30 seconds or so unable to connect message appears. Other apps such as YouTube work fine. TV diagnostic check shows network connection is problem free. Talked to Netflix support. they tried to "reset" the app but that accomplished nothing. They gave up and said they would report it to "engineering".
