Same thing with us. My husband and I went out to dinner, and both of our BB&T debit cards were declined. We couldn't get anyone on the phone, we didn't have enough cash on us to pay the bill, and we had left our credit cards at home. The restaurant would not take checks either. Luckily, after about ten or fifteen minutes, they reran the card, and it worked. Of course, right after we left, it went back to showing a zero balance on all my accounts on the mobile app. We went to a few stores after that, but obviously I didn't chance buying anything since the accounts kept switching back and forth from the actual balance to a zero balance. It was so frustrating and a bit scary, honestly. All of my bank accounts are with BB&T, but it may not be that way for much longer.
