cannot receive comcast emails

Error says couldn't sign in and sign-in failed. Incorrect username and/or password. Went to comcast site and changed password and tried to receive emails and then received following:
HTTP status 500 - Request processing failed, nested exception is java.lang. NullPointerException. Apache Tomcat/7.0.57 - Error Report
And a long page of root causes, etc followed.
