Pinterest app android not working

Stopped working after last update. Bar at the top of feed asked to invite friends to pinterest. Screen frozen completely. Uninstalled and reinstalled. App opens to a montage with a 'continue' button. Nothing works here either. You cannot move past the screen. Sign up button at the bottom of screen. I am however still getting all the email reminders from pinterest. I just can't use the app at all.
