Xfinity home page causes problems

Any time I have the Xfinity home page open in my browser (Mozilla Firefox), I get a notification that there is a web page causing a problem.  When I close the Xfinity home page, the notification goes away.  Other web pages are slow and sometimes freeze up when I have the Xfinity home page open.  I use a MacBook Pro.  I've had this problem for months.
