Suddenly unable to access email or when I open my inbox there are no emails.

Troubleshooting for an employee and he typically receives a copy of 'New' email to his computer and cell phone but reports its not working properly today and not sure exactly when the issue started but is very recent. Located in Northern Virginia (Warrenton, VA) area.
