ATT Yahoo email very slow

Yahoo AT&T email is very slow.  When I attempt to select several emails fpr deletion I have to wait a half minute or longer, sometimes it deletes email that I have not checked.  This has been going on for a week or so.  I tried using another computer in a public hot spot--same result which tells me it has nothing to do with my software/hardware/DSL connection.   My current workaround is to use Gmail.
