major problems across the site

emails not sending, error message coming up on start up, not able to get to websites, something is seriously going on here.  I did notice an update downloaded recently and it seems that is when the problems started.  I have decided to delete it completely from my computer, because I am worried about a virus or something due to how weird the site was over the past few days.
