Located in south Texas, website is down for maintenance. Husband can't use data or get on our wifi. I owuldn't dare spend good money on a card, if I can't even load it. I hope this is temporary.
Yes, it has been down for at least three days. I have never seen this happen before, in years with Tracfone.
I am out of the US now so I can't check myself on whether this has affected cell service. However, I have many friends who use Tracfone. I'm sure they would have been screaming by now if cell service had been disabled.
The OP said her husband had a problem with data and wifi. Wifi has nothing to do with Tracfone unless there is something very odd in a Tracfone-supplied mobile. Certainly the site outage would not affect a BYOP phone's wifi.
Tracfone also does not answer its customer service calls. Using a landline, I got past the menus to the tech service choice. The recorded answer there was the cellulare service is not available, call back in 24 hours.
This is getting pretty worrisome.
