My online account has been down since December 9. I have called SunTrust every day and there are no resolutions. Apparently SunTrust was severly hacked to the point that their IT people are unable to resolve the issues. When I asked the SunTrust help desk staff about the hacking, they did not deny it. They simply said that as far as they know, the bank accounts have not been compromised and if there are any unauthorized charges, they will reimburse my account.
