Having only been back online for 3 months following a still-unexplained outage that began Thanksgiving Day and lasted 9 long months, it appears nonoba.com has once again, fallen off the radar screen and left its members in the dark.

As is always the case, there is no word from the tight-lipped, PR-challenged powers-that-be at nonoba. Members will attest to the fact that despite thousands of site-based game-forum posts from its loyal members pleading with site creators and staff to acknowledge their concerns in the form of a reply on the site regarding its future.

Those who attempt to logon to nonoba.com will be met with one of the following errors:

-HTTP Error 503. Service unavailable.

-Unexpected error. Please try again

Is there any other site like nonoba that we can log onto with our nonoba accounts? If there is please tell.

Hi there .... you asked whether there are any other sites like nonoba that you may log on to using your nonoba account credentials. I would have to say the answer to that is "no". Now I'm not 100% certain but I did do a little research on the web before writing this reply. Many sites will give you access to their sites if you sign in with your facebook account. Same with Gmail. So its a good question. Unfortunately, in this case, I believe the answer is No. While we (as members) do not know what the future may hold for nonoba, we can only keep our fingers crossed that they'll be back up and running in no time! In the meantime, there are literally MILLIONS of gaming communities on the Web. Signup is quick and easy in most cases. OMGPOP.com and Kongregate.com are 2 of the best out there. In fact, many of nonoba's members are also members on Kongregate, OMGPOP, Pogo, Armorgames and others. I run into nonoba people on kongregate quite often! Especially during downtime at nonoba! Check out www.nonojogos.com to log into with your nonoba name and password. Once you check it out, why would you want to? Well, it has its own chat room hooked up to everything and it works (with occasional refreshing to check for new arrivals). You won't be able to play most multi-player games nor chat with people at Nonoba and similar sites but as an alternative for chatting with Nonobians while Nonoba fixes(?) their multi-player/chat servers it's worth checking out. Hi Pure Energy! Received notice of your new comment and thought I'd hop on and say "hello". If I'm not mistaken, all of nonoba is down now. Tried to log on today and got the ol Error Code 503 thing. We've been through this enough times that we should know whether Error 503 is better or worse than partial site online and whether or not Error 503 was what preceded the site's full return. Ive tried to analyze it a bit but then I gave up. Figured all I can do is follow the natural order of technical problems. Good seeing your name! I think I've forgot the map. I've tried both to visualize it and play other TDs while trying to replicate it .... eh eh try again! But like you always say, "It's like riding a bike." Hopefully we'll get the chance to go for a long bike ride real soon. Is this our new chat room? Seriously, I sent you a message, or so I thought, thinking the site would be completely up real soon cuz it had the "Website is starting… mysql database, etc." message. You know, the really long one. Well, a few days later and guess what? Nonoba is finally back online today. I started the drumroll and proceeded to click on the Starland favorited game link on my screen... and lo and behold... muahahahaha... did you really think it would be working the moment Nonoba would be working? Had you going didn't I? Oh well. Same old Nonoba with nothing new and no working chat/multi-player servers working but at least it's not gone forever. Until we meet again in Starland.

No, dork, you didn't have me going because I know better! I click on my nonoba bookmark once per day. Ok, sometimes twice, the latter being right before I go to bed which, incidentally, will be here in a few minutes! As to whether this is our new chat room, I dont know, what do you think? It's nice and quiet, free from advertising and, best of all, it's always up, as in online! Makes ya wonder .... does the sitedown site ever go down? and what is ".co" vs .com? Colorado? Lol. Did you not see that this site, sitedown.co (company), was down for like two days (or was it more?)? That was fricking hysterical to see messages change from... pretty ironic huh? Please check back in 10 minutes... to... please check back at 5 pm... to completely dark. Good to see this place back up though. This latest outage does seem to be hurting Nonoba a lot more this time. You can see it in how there is a lot less interest in writing forum threads or comments. Not to mention, it's not cool when some MB (moderator b!*#h?) locks threads before I even have a chance to comment. Whats the point in immediately locking a thread? If it was so bad, why doesn't she delete it or message the person to edit their comment or she'll delete it or lock it? It is especially not cool when she is willing to lock a thread for getting off topic when she explicitly commented in said such thread saying she would delete comments that get off topic. I guess she only meant it for the first several off-topic comments posted "a long time ago." Oh well, maybe Starland will be back up again and all will be fine with the universe until the next prophecy allows Nonoba to fulfill its dreams of another 8-month outage. Nonoba is no more, sadly. But you probably already knew that. So if anyone out there creates a new chat site it'd be warmly welcomed by noobs and loners. :3

up for a day then back down! Game creators ought to take their games elsewhere. That is, unless constant BS, zero acknowledgement and piss-poor public/member relations is what you want for your game(s). Granted it's free so ask yourself this. Is the miniscule amount of erratic exposure really worth the dark cloud that being associated with this unreliable, unprofessional mess of a website casts over your game(s)?

I do not know what Yahoo plans to do with Nonoba, but I do know that around 8 months ago Yahoo bought the Nonoba.com domain. Therefore, anyone hoping to resurrect Nonoba will have no luck.

When this sort of thing happens, do all the games come as part of the acquisition? imagine its an "at will" sort of thing? Either party can pull a game should they desire. Many of the (more known) games are on multiple game sites so those games havent vanished from the scene altogether. Its the small (but mighty) favorites that have kinda gone by the wayside since nonobas demise that a group of us still remain hopeful will re-emerge wherever, however.

Cool ESKL, hadnt heard of chatzy -- thanks ill check it out! A handful of people joined Kongregate -- huge gaming site with a chatroom full of other kong gamers always sitting to the right of your play area.

Current game count is 96,254 .. and as i look at the homepage there are 43,556 people on the site playing.

All the top most popular online games .. every category .. incemtives like badges for mamy of the games .. allows you to move up in level .. the more badges/points you accumulate!

I've tried Kongregate before, it's just not my type. Nonoba was really the only flash-based online gaming site that was even worth playing, at least, to me.

i haven't looked at this in forever but I guess better late than never. I miss nonoba with a passion and nothing will ever be as good, konggrate isn't the same as what nonoba was. Nono a was more Rp then people playing games. The attic was the best and I wish it was still here for me to enjoy but it's not. Excellent! Will they be filming it all? It seems to me that this is a great performance, and it would be interesting for everyone to watch it. For example, the guys from DrakeMall did something similar (you can look at mystery box unboxing videos and photos on Drakemall). It turned out to be really interesting and I'm sure it attracted a lot of clients.

There has never been another site that comes close to the world we had in Nonoba. Spent a lot of hours in my childhood here. Truly it was a stunning creation. Looking back it seems more like a phantasm than anything else.

Still remember always being in the Laundry room, (Think it became the attic later?) as well as the numerous additional realms within the nonoverse that others had created.

Almost like a dream. Nothing ever replaced it.

Anyways I am being far too sentimental over a site almost everyone hated me on.
