Netflix will not let me view on tv through roku

it acts like it is going to work but when you make a selection and attempt to engage it says "unable to complete requested action, your roku player is unable to complete the requested action. Please try again later. If this problem persists, please unplug your player, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in." This however does not fix the problem that has persisted for at least 3 months. Help!
