Can't connect on PS3 after update to 2.09

Updated to 2.09, now it won't connect.  I tried deleting and reinstalling the software on the PS3, to no avail.  I even tried deactivating the device, thinking it was some glitch with the account sync.  When I start Netflix, it doesn't even tell me to activate.  It just gives me a "technical error has occured. please restart netflix." message.  I will contact Netflix and update this post if I get anywhere.

Me, too. Tried calling Netflix. They said it is Sony software problem. It works everywhere else but the PS3.

Got it to work with Sony's help. They had me delete NETFLIX, THEN delete "Netflix" from within the SAVED GAME UTILITY. Then boot to safe mode --> Turn off system. Hold down power until three beats. Light turns read. Hold down power until 4 beeps-- the last two are a double beep. Then go to restore file system... (which only removes fragmented files-- it does not erase your stuff)... then after that finishes [you need a wired ps3 controller to proceed]... ... reinstall Netflix and it works. I actually wonder if the reinstall would have worked after deleting the SAVED GAME -> NETFLIX stuff, but we did not stop there. Hope this helps.

This total worked! Thanks, Dude

I tried this without doing the "boot in safe mode" and it still worked. Thank you Peter, because of your efforts of calling Sony, you saved me some hassle tonight.

I was hoping it would work for me, too, but no luck. I appreciate your post, though, Peter. http://sitedown.co/netflix/ps3-wont-connect-to-netflix-after-update-209#comment-3082

I tried the method without the Safe Boot and it still isnt working. However, its not showing the error message. Its just stuck on the load screen. I keep backing out of it and re entering but havent had any luck.

HA! After posting my last comment, I backed out once more and then entered Netflix again, and it worked! Perseverance!

I tried all this, and the only thing that finally worked for me was switching my router out, i have no idea why but after the 2.09 update i wasent able to connect to netflix thru my ps3 , after trying everything i just switched out my Gigafast router and replaced it with a Linksys router i had stored in the closet, i was able to connect to everything 'but' netflix when i was using the Gigafast router, now everything is working fine while using the Linksys
