I'm having the same problem - you're not alone!

Guess we'll have to wait until their techs wake up and fix the database...again :(

I submitted a "ticket" to tell them the problem but no answer yet....

I'm having the exact same problem, it seems to be affecting Angelfire too. I have two seperate angelfire/lycos accounts & when I tried logging in, I couldn't log in, kept giving me an inccorect password message. So I tried resetting & when I typed in either my user name or my email I kept getting the following message "The username does not match any account in our system."

 

I also emailed a ticket

What a moron company. They are worse than yahoo, hotmail etc. They are the ANTI-RELIABILITY company. Lycos has been a crap company for MANY YEARS and they DO NOT LISTEN to other I.T. professionals. Any reputable company would at least put a large-font system-notice RIGHT ON THE SIGN-IN PAGE (www.mail.lycos.com) until it's resolved. They just want to pretend there's nothing wrong. Lycos is historically VERY SLOW to correct any sort of problem and they have the worst reliability and zero REAL customer "service". SAVE-OFF OR BACK UP YOUR EMAILS!
