IT DID WORK---method for getting in online--IT WORKS!!!!

First, deepest apologies to Erica who did state how she was able to get in online, this is the "glitch" that is currently letting you get to sign in online, and I hope they fix it soon because this is utterly ridiculous!

1. on the sign in page for 5/3rd, click on "forgot login?"

2. Follow screen ?s (made sure the last name starts with a capital letter) and ENTER YOUR DEBIT CARD NUMBER! not the account #, but the debit card number---THAT IS WHAT WORKS TO GET INTO YOUR ACCOUNTS!

3. make sure you click "enter" instead of just hitting it on your keypad and BINGO---it found you with the exact same user ID name you've been using the whole time to sign in with? this system is TOTALLY messed up!!!

again, Erica if you are reading this, I deeply apologize to you: I tried doing what you suggested on the login page and that didn't work, also I tried the account number one, and that didn't work, but you are right, you have to use the debit card number.

congratulations everyone: no more "OOOPS" thing for you to look at everyday!

Lol, no need to apologize. There was only one cs rep that was able to get me in, and this is the exact method she told me. Hopefully others tried it too. I'm still pissed that they haven't announced this glitch to thier customers, though. Glad you finally got in!

(so sorry I have to stay anonymous but need to online and btw, I'm a woman too--we get the job done sooner or later, LOL!) I got a VM from someone now at 5/3rd for the follow up on this and you can believe me, I am planning to lay into him about the problems with that website. Have a neighbor who is using the app (we can't, rather crummy cell reception here) and they are having no problems whatsover? But I plan to really give the supervisor in the online banking department a piece of my mind with this problem and WHY didn't they notify the public about it with a note on the website? I did notice something, probably you did too, that once it "recovers" the login (which was never lost to start with, right?) it says to use it on the sign-in page of the profile for the app site?!? Again, 5/3rd is encouraging that app and some of us don't want to use the app or have limited data on the phone/poor cell reception. When I get some answers I will post them on this site, and again Erica, thanks and I'm glad you got someone who knew about the "glitch" as no-one else seems to be aware of it over at 5/3rd/telling the public, but you lucked out!  :-)
