Can't log in with Safari

Been unable to log in on my desktop using Safari for more than a week.  Weird dashed box appears around UserID box and Password box, wasn't there before problem started.  Have called twice to report.  Can log in with Firefox, which I don't want to use.  Mobile ap works fine, and Safari on ipad works.  Very frustrating!
