If you have "Clear" or Clearwire as your service provider and live in the Chicago area, we are in the same boat.

I just spent over 30 min with tech support for Clear and they told me that they are aware of the problem and hope to have it resolved within 24hrs. Looks like a blockage of all traffic going thru Clear to eBay/ PayPal.

Yup. Chicago-Clear-ebay, down for the second day. How frustrating.

Mine too. If you reboot the modem on clear you will get access back for about 10 minutes. As a rebooted modem has network priority over registered modems. Give it a try. Tough when you run a business on Clear networks like me. Sucks really.

I am completely frustrated as well. Day 2 and still unable to access ebay. I am so behind on shipping and emails. :/ Grrr! I live in Chicagoland. West Suburbs. Provider is Clear as well. What is going on??

The same with me. I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, have Clear and am really disappointed in eBay for not acknowledging that there is a problem. I haven't been able to get into eBay since very late Tuesday night. I spoke with Clear and they assured me that they would have it fixed within 24 hours. I certainly hope so.

I'm glad to find this site and learn that it isn't just me. I did get on to ebay for a short time around 7 PM today. but now the problem is back.

I have been the whole day on the phone with Clear support. Keep getting the same useless answers .. reset your modem, computer, etc., etc. Nobody told me this was a known problem. Thanks so much for sharing. At least now I know what is going on. I am in Northwest suburbs of Chicago and cannot access ebay.com or endicia.com

I use to work as a network engineer in the head end. This just may be bottle-necking of the network for the Ebay's website in Chicago locally. Usually a problem resolved by adding some extra servers. It would appear Clear is running on bare minimum and needs to invest a little more server money. Since a reboot of the modem will get you ebay and paypal access for about 10 minutes only. And then reboot again. So try and get as much done in each reboot. All rebooted modems have top network priority when they register, as the network tries to stabilize the newly registered modem you rebooted, so that that makes sense why it works for 10 minutes. Cause once the modem stabilizes, it is now part of the rest of the herd of modems online at that time. This has happened with Clear in the past. They go by the times 5 method usually. Anytime they say 24 hours it will be fixed, (x5). About 5 days. Any longer is more serious a problem then we know. Sucks for me as I run a big business on eBay now, and have to jump o my neighbors open network when I do my ebay stuff! LOL! Clear is Clogged.

It is not only clear. There are people in other states having issues as well. I am not able to log in with Comcast either. This is not good at all. Day 4

What I mean is I am not able to access ebay's site at all. With clear or comcast. :/

When you reboot the Clear Modem, try to connect right away and let me know what happens. Goto "start" then "run" and type cmd. Open the dos command box, and see if you can ping ebay.com. For this type "ping ebay.com" without the quotes and see if you can hit the server. May be Clear is using Comcasts network for this area. As all networks share networks and pay each other for the time they use. Just like cellular phone systems when roaming.
