Erratic Satellite Software Problems

Although site isn't completely down, HughesNet service for those with HN9000 modems has been erratic since 25Jan2013. Bandwidth usageĀ & recharge times for individual accounts have become so unpredictable that it has become nearly impossible for users to utilize HughesNet Satellite without exceeding allocated bandwidth. Phone contact with HughesNet is averaging 40-72 minutes on hold for technical support; when a human answers they give "canned" apologies & inform that they are aware and the engineers are working on it. It is suspected that the HughesNet Satellite has been damaged by Solar Flare activity, resulting in partial onboard computer system damage.
