10 Business Day Hold on Depositing to a New Account???

I could not figure out why my check had not cleared the bank when deposited back on the 23rd of July.  So I started calling them to find out why my funds were not available & also to wonder if I had received a bad check.  If it was a bad check I need to know right away as this check is for a living beautiful Persian kitten & I need to take action to repo this kitten if it is bad.  So when I called today I started with the branch office and they said it was out of there control & to call the command center & of course they couldn’t help me either and had nothing to do with the hold and transferred to the online banking which is sending me back to the branch office, but not before I talked with the supervisor, which couldn’t give an explanation either.  You would think in being a bank they were there to help you get your funds in a timely manner let alone being a new customer you would think they would want you to be a happy one so you would give them a good review on well of job they are doing and how satisfied you are with their services?  Well I guess not & will find out more when I start again tomorrow to find out why they have my check on hold & can't even tell me if it is good or not, what a joke.  As of right now I would not recommend this bank to any new customer at all, especially when I asked for the corporate phone number & they could not supply this for me - I wonder why that would be???
