I have tried submitting an online Ikea order at least 20 times in the past 24 hours - After calculating my shipping and clicking Proceed to Checkout, each time I receive the error message "An unknown error has occurred. Please try again later or contact customer service." I've tried Google, Firefox, and Safari. I have cleared my cache and cookies multiple times. I have used an incognito window. I have emptied my shopping cart and added each item again to be sure I didn't receive an out of stock message. Originally an over $700.00 order, I have whittled it down to a smaller $150.00 order and that isn't helping. I submitted a ticket with customer service last night, but haven't received a reply. I also called customer service last night and was told to "keep trying." After telling them that I had "been trying" for over 10 hours, they offered to go through my order item by item and submit it over the phone - No troubleshooting skills whatsoever or knowledge of site stability. Hopefully someone with a clue reallizes they're down because their cutomer service team clearly doesn't have any information or interest in site stabilty.
