Internet connection is always disconnecting

My Comcast connection is seldom stable or reliable. They say that its at my end and not tbeir problem. Hello! Comcast begins and ends with your installation.
I am unable to connect for any reasonable length of time, to accomplish anything.
Unfortunately, its the only game in town...
