Boards won't open

There are some of my boards that will open ok - and some that, whenever I click on them, will show a little button (the clothing kind) turning round and round. The pins in that board never appear, no matter how long I wait. This is getting very frustrating and scary, because there are many pins that I want to save to my computer. This has been going on for several days.
