No email - server unreachable, Proxy 502 error

Been calling since Friday with on an off service - mostly OFF.  What is going on and when is it going to be FIXED.  The last person I spoke to said COMCAST was upgrading the server and all email service has been down since Wednesday. , and just consider the issue resolved.  First person I spoke to this afternoon, I told him I was getting this 502 prox error, called back - the second person advised there was a ticket and he would connect me to an excutive agent - on hold for an hour and a half --WAITING.  While waiting called the customer support number again to fine out when someone planned to answer the phone.  That's when the gentleman advised the server was being upgraded and it may take a couple more days.  COMCAST - if this is true - don't you think it would be a good customer service to advise your customers you were having issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
