out of the blue tonght, std channels display top and bottom bars. No changes made on X1 box to cause it. Tried looking at Video setting on box and has not changed 1080i and zoom. Comcast reset box twice, no help. Unplugged box at their request and restarted it when they told me to, same problem. Nothing helps and just started today. Only thing left is that Comcast has a problem, very frustrating. What is going on?

Screen began getting 2 black boxes. Traded in my X1 Box for brand new box on 8/11/18 and black boxes went away. But still get a number of normal definition (non-HD) channels with top and bottom black bars. Connected box to a 2nd Dig TV and see same bars. Checked box settings (720P and Zoom...also tried 1080i and zoom) and TV settings - all OK. No setting will fill the screen. The picture on most newly effected channels used to take up entire screen prior to 8/9/18. At this point, the only thing I can imagine is that Comcast at broadcast end has changed something. We watch mostly HD programs which are perfect but occasionally when watching some stations like 200 and others and nightly for RAI station (679) the picture remains stretched to fill both right/left side bnut black bars on top/bottom. We can put up with it, though a nuisance. Something had to have changed at Comcast end! I say this because issue suddenly developed on its own on 8/9/18, then tried on multiple TVs and with a 2nd new box. Is Comcast on their end suddenly changing transmission setting on some normal def stations?
