After installing Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) I cannot log into Bank Of America (BOA)online banking. I checked the IE9 security settings and they are right. I checked the Microsoft websites and BOA websites for information but found none. I verified the problem is with IE9 because I can log into BOA with IE8.
Same problem here after upgraded IE9, any one know a fix
I would download Firefox, and give that a try. It is a better overall browser anyway, and free.
I had the same problem after Microsoft updates, I fixed mine by loading IE9 then selecting tools, then Internet Options, then Advanced, then resetting back to default...its all good now til the next Microsoft upadte!
Worked for me, Thanks!

You don't need to replace IE9 as BoA support suggested. You do have to disable some Internet Options to save encrypted pages to disc and you cannot delete temporary files. These are used for webstie tracking and the BoA site will no longer work if you do not disable these internet protections.
Encountering troubles to LOGIN BofA website over few days now. BofA website requires 7 and higher. What is going on and what solution can be expected?
Cannot log onto the Bank of America website with IE9. I have had this problem for 2 months. Bank of America is not responsive. The new updates to IE9 have not fixed the problem. I rechecked all the security settings. After that tried it with minimal IE9 security settings and the Firewall off. Still could not log on.

I'm having the same problems, and can only log-in after answering a security question. Using Win7 and IE9. If I use Firefox on the same computer everything works correctly and I'm immediately routed to my SiteKey. I've changed all my IE9 security and privacy settings to the lowest levels, but still no banana. I emailed BofA and got a response telling me to:
1)From the Edit menu, click Preferences
2)Click to expand Receiving Files and then click Cookies.
3)From the drop-down menu When receiving cookies, click to choose Never ask
4)Click OK
Obviously the tech who wrote this wasn't familiar with my version of IE9, because these instructions can't be performed with what my menus display.
I spent a couple of hours on line with BofA Customer service, both overseas and in the US. They have no clue what the problem is, but say it has been reported by other clients. I downloaded Chrome and that solved the problem for me
My BOA support tech knows what's wrong and the bank helped me to access my account with Chrome.
The JAVA settings and the MS VM machine settings are missing in the advanced IE9 Browser tab. FireFox V5 also fails to run sitekey - Chrome works.
Problem Solved! I could not log on to Bank of America online banking with IE9. I verified the problem I had was fixed by selecting Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Security and removing the checkmark in the box for "Do not save encrypted pages to disc". If this box is checked I was not able to log in to Bank of America. Re setting all the advanced settings to default will do the same thing but if you do not want to change everything removing the check mark from box for "Do not save encrypted pages to disc" is easier.
Bank of America now enforces encrypted pages to disk and does not allow you to 'delete temporary files. This was the only way IE9 will work. It is also the only financial site I use that enforces this. Why?? So it can better communicate to its customers?
I have been moving my accounts to TD bank - if they cant get their IT s*** together - how can you trust them with your money?
