What's the problem with EDD Debit Card Website? No accessibility in the past 3 days. At first I thought it was just me having this problem, but that's not the case.

Bank of America shoujld be ashamed of their performance. Their silly excuse that they are using a different browser is BS!!!!! Another reason I would NEVER have any dealings with this UN American bank if not forced to by EDD
Joe yo on
If not forced by the fact that you can't get yourself a job. Perhaps you should apply to fix the website genius! I hate when I am forced to use malfunctioning websites to collect my free money. I heard McDonalds uses wells fargo, best of luck. Get some suka face
Lesley on
Ditto. The site has not been accessible at any time since May 2012 that I have tried. Who's bright idea was it to choose Bank of America to administer this program anyway?
Michael Woodward on
When I try and log on to the EDD B of A site it just continues to try and load without success.
Tammy W Wofford on
I am having issues also
Vee on
I have been having the same problem. I know the funds are there because I called the bank, but I can't log in.

I am unable to access the EDD website.
Terree on
I have been unable to access the website as well for a few days now. I thought it was just me as well. They need to put up something saying that they are having problems, or send us notice!
Terree on
They need to put up a notice or send us notice that there are problems.
Josie on
WOW!!! I was told by B of A rep that there was nothing wrong with their site and that it must be my computer! She told me to try turning off my computer and turning it back on again! I have done that 3 times already thinking I need to buy a new laptop and who can afford that on unemployment!? She should have just told me there was a propblem with the site!
cairo washington on
What is the first 6 digit of debit card you trying to access on bofa website? cos they dont accpet every Edd card
Daniel P. Moore on
Would like to know why I cannot access this site. I need to know the status of my Unemployment benifits..
Dennis Andrews on
Once again the B of A EDD website is down, just as it was last weekend, and god knows how many other times. Here we have one of the largest institutions in America, yet they can't even keep the EDD Debit Card Website up and running. Unbelievable!
Josie on
I read on one of the B of A sites that they are now going thru Mozilla Firefox web browser instead of Interner Explorer and that we will need to download this browser now. I did and now I am having even more problems with my computer! I can get into my EDD card info now, when the site is working! Not likeing this at all! Still haveing problems getting on to this site! Any suggestions?
Vee on
I have been having the same problem. You can call the bank and see if your funds are there. Worst case, go to the bank and withdraw the funds. Good luck. This is REALLY irritating. Has been going on for several days and the bank seems to be unaware. Duh!
k on
I have tried for 3 weeks to get on the website and they keep telling me something different each time. first if was technical then it was maintance now it is not acessible thru google or my web browser and I need to call my internet provider??? Are they serious!!!!
Robin on
Unable to get into site on 29th, noon to 6PM with IE. Many attempts. Got in with Chrome 1st try at 5PM. Did my business and out in less than a minute. Tried again with IE w/o success.
NANCY on
not again
Chris on
Have not been able to log on for over two weeks. As sugggested from earlier writer, I tried the Google Chrome and it worked!!
Steve on
Have not been able to log on for the past several weeks. Pretty inconvenient to have to run down to a BofA atm. Much more efficient to do an online transfer if I could get access. Embarrasingly incompetent. Do they need better employees -- yes all the good ones are unemployed and won't be hired because they're "overqualified."
scott ventura on
today is March 9 2012 and I haven't been able to log on since February 15 2012. I called card service (the phone number on the back of the card)on February 22 2012 and was told that they were preforming maintence on the wed site and that it was only down for a few hours a day. THAT IS A LIE! I continued to try around the clock with no luck. EDD needs to get rid of B of A.
Steve on
Try logging onto the BofA EDD card website thru Google Chrome. It works every time. You can even get on with your smartphone (due to the Google interface). They have a problem with IE9 so accessing the site via another source works much better.
scott ventura on
Roger that! google chrome works, Thanks.
John on
How strange, though, that the website for non-EDD Bank of America customers works just fine with IE9 when you go to their log-in page. My suggestion for anyone posting or reading here would be to go to send a message directly to California EDD online about this problem until Bank of America resolves this issue (you can do this at: https://askedd.edd.ca.gov/asp/frmEDDCOMM.aspx). BofA is making hundreds of millions of dollars off of this deal with EDD and shouldn't be taking the attitude that they can't be bothered with "certain" customers (which is what we are).
Terree on
I found the same thing amusing when I went into my non-EDD BoA account to check on my balance. The solution seems to be to use Google Chrome or some other version of Microsoft IE9. We need to encourage all those unfortunate enough to be on EDD currently, to remember how they were treated when they return to work, and put their paychecks into another bank.
John on
By the way, the way to bypass EDD's "we can't help you with this issue, contact BofA" nonsense on their comment page (https://askedd.edd.ca.gov/asp/frmEDDCOMM.aspx) is to select the following: 1. "Select a Category" - Unemployment Benefits 2. "Select a Subcategory" - Other 3. "Select a Topic" - Suggestions, Complaints, or Comments 4. Click continue button.
Eddie P Wardo on
All, using Crome or a browser other than IE may or may not correct your issue. The issue with the site is the certificates they are using. Here is what to do to get in using IE 9. 1. Open IE. 2. From the tool bar go to tools then internet options. 3. Click the "Advanced" tab. 4. Scroll all the way down to security. Select USE SSL 3.0 and TSL 1.0 5. Restart IE and Wa La.
mg on
The comment from Eddie on 3/15 works. I have IE6, SSE 3.0 was checked but not TSL 1.0 . I checked TSL 1.0 and was able to get into the BofA edd site. I had been trying for a month. Thanks Eddie. by the way what is TSL 1.0 do ?
Eddie P Wardo on
The only reason I would not suggest other browsers like chrome or fire fox is the security is a little more trimmed down and you may be by passing the server's security protocol when access your account information. I had to read up a bit on SSL and TLS myself, see below from http://techweb.com/encyclopedia (Transport Layer Security) A security protocol from the IETF that is based on the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 3.0 protocol developed by Netscape. TLS uses digital certificates to authenticate the user as well as authenticate the network (in a wireless network, the user could be logging into a rogue access point). The TLS client uses the public key from the server to encrypt a random number and send it back to the server. The random number, combined with additional random numbers previously sent to each other, is used to generate a secret session key to encrypt the subsequent message exchange. Also, you will notice when you do access the site using IE the certificates are mismatched. That is an IE 9.0 and possible an IE 8.0 issue but you can still get past that by continuing to site and it is still secure. Question for you is why are you using an out dated browser? Even if you are using chrome or FF you should update that as part of your OS (Windows). The other browsers will also take advantage of the added security if you keep up with updates.
mg on
Eddie Thanks for the explanation. My son would understand the details better than me and I'll show him your reply. He is a computer wiz but getting him to explain anything to us is next to impossible. I realize that I am using IE 8 not 6, I tried IE 9 but there was some problem between Macfee and IE 9.

Have had many days of not being able to get in to the BofA edd site. Tried clearing out my history and cache to no prevail. Finally tried Safari..Apples web browser and worked right away. Som companies go through different browsers. I had Safari to access BNF's employee application.
garrett dutton on
does anyone have the 888 phone# to check my account?
David on
Having the same problem, unable to access with Internet Explorer. You can keep clicking and eventually the site comes up. Mozilla Firefox works perfectly. Eddie's suggestion above also works. I checked TSL 1.0 on my computer security settings and now have no problem accessing on IE.
Alena on
I am have the same issue, but only on the computer the BofA website WONT load. but on my cell phone the site works.. strange and very annoying!
Eddie P Wardo on
Alena, did you see my post regarding this? Check your SSL and TLS settings in IE.
Manuel on
Maybe it's the version of explorer that's the problem because I can access the website on my phone but not on my laptop. And, I'd needto print my info...
Pamela Cameron on
I haven't been able to access the B of A EDD card website for the past 4 days!!! I've tried everything! I called the phone number, but they said nothing was wrong. I know this can't be true. Please fix it ASAP! Thank you.
Eddie P Wardo on
Pamela, I don't suppose you saw the fix I posted for this issue. Check the following settings in I.E. to be sure it is set correctly. 1. Open IE. 2. From the tool bar go to tools then internet options. 3. Click the "Advanced" tab. 4. Scroll all the way down to security. Select USE SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 You may also need to change these setting periodically as they are subject to change without notice.

Thanks so much Eddie! This worked for me! I only had to change/check the TLS to have BofA Site finally accessible.

I am on the phone with a bank of america rep now and she can't explain th on going problem that I've experience for months! She was having problems with her computer too! ha isn't that a joke. Best they can do is verebally go over my transactions or mail them! I ask her what they do with customers calling about this bad online service and she said nothing! This is why I am not a customer of theirs, it's only because of EDD that I'm force to use B of A! Totally disgusted with them!

I have been trying to get into my EDD account to add it with my other accounts since 3/2012. Till this day I haven't been able to get past the login screen.

I have not been able to get onto the EDD B of A for 4 months or so. I have called and the rep was NO help at all in fact told me nothing was wrong that sometimes it works and other times don't. Well it NEVER works. At the beginning of the year it always worked.

You need to use Mozilla Firefox to bring up the B of A EDD website. In fact, I have been useing Firefox for most of my searches and for looking up my other account info, it is much faster and is not down as much as internet explorer.
Hugh Jones on
I am unable to access the card web site. I did however try it in google chrome, and managed to get on. It appears that the EDD CARD / BANK OF AMERICA site will not operate with Internet explorer. I also tried from a safari browser and got on. What is the issue with Internet Explorer? I am using IE ver 9. Being out of work is stressful enough without having to worry about accessing your funds~!

I had the same problem, if you go through a different web browser like firefox you'll be able to sign on. Or you can do a search for other web browsers and find one you might like to use. It must be something with internet explorer, cause this solved my problem.
