sounds like this is a site problem but clients should be notified in these events

Same here for me. Entered userID, selected state, entered Safepass number (get one of these if you don't have it), entered password, and it went back to home page with Sign Out successful message. BofA seems to be losing control of its public network access with the multiple outages and poor performance in the last 12 months. Whoever is in charge is doing a lousy job.

Still down as of 10:00AM EDT. Same results as described by others, get past online id, then securekey, then back to front page (a different one than what I'm used to) saying logout successful.

C'mon BofA! How difficult is it to post a message to your homepage stating that your online banking sign-on process is having issues. It would save the consumer the time, trouble & stress of contacting you via phone or other method.
