computer S-L-O-W and unresponsive

can't get to att mail, just sometimes the basic version. Now Cortana disappeared. What's going on? Is this all because of the yahoo hack? It seems to have affected my whole computer. I can't do ANYTHING beyond basic search, can't really go much further. ?????
