Domain & site inaccessible for 4 weeks now

Site:

Since Aug. 9, no access for the public to my Angelfire site, hosted by Lycos/Angelfire. My site's hosted for free by Angelfire, but my domain is registered with Lycos, and is affected by a (site-wide?) malware siege of Lycos domains and e-mail accounts. Even inter-office communication within Angelfire Customer Service seems to have been thwarted, as "help tickets" apparently can't be "elevated" to the tech-expert level.

Site hosting service restored by updating domain name registration contact info (had been hacked into and changed by malicious party)

My website, hosted by Angelfire/Lycos, suddenly went off line on or about September 26th. My website address now leads you to a message saying that my domain name has expired.  There are problems with this company.  They suddenly doubled my monthly price, billed automatically on my bank, and I could NOT change it because their site wouldn't accept any changes.  This went on for about 8 months. When I was finally able to change it, my domain name now isn't paid for.  I've thoroughly checked that my plan that I've had for many years now, is still covering the domain name cost, and it does.

There is no customer service.  I've sent many tickets and get a useless automated email reply.  There is never a resolution to the problem. There is no one to talk to. They keep taking my money every month.  Now I have no website, and they are still taking my money!  They double charged me for 8 months or more, and offered NO refund!   What kind of company is this?  Their customer service is non-existent.  Their actions are criminal, by taking customers money and not allowing them to adjust their billing or change anything!

I put a LOT of time and work into putting my website up with this hosting company, and I don't have the time or desire to re-do it with another host.  I would like my issues resolved.
