Amazon page blank with error message

Amazon page doesn't load. I get an error message - "We're sorry. We are aware of the problem and working to resolve it" ( etc. ). This has been going on for over 2 months. What is going on with Amazon? Has the site been hacked or is Verizon throttling it ? Obviously, I am not the only person with this problem. Why are they doing nothing to resove it ? There's no information anywhere about it on Google.
