It is very unprofessional how Wells Fargo handled the Direct Pay glitch. Account holders were not notified of the problem with that the payments would not be sent to the payees. When I was notified by an employee that she had not received an email for her pay on the 31st, which unfortunately was after business hours, there was nothing I could do for her on payday.  I called Direct Pay customer support the next day, April 1st. I was told that I would have to reprocess the payments and if I got them in on that day they would process on Monday, April 4th. It is unfortunately that we were not notified of the problem as soon as Wells Fargo knew it wouldn't go through. I paid one employee by check so that she could have her pay and processed the other employees through Direct Pay. I then get a call on Saturday morning from the employee that I had written a check to. She received her email that her pay was processed! Wells Fargo went ahead and reprocessed the payment which I was told they were not going to do and that I had to reprocess. Now my employee has been paid twice!! What a mess and not a word from Wells Fargo of the problem.
