6 days in a row.  i called them and they said they could place the order for me, but they show my 'cart' as being empty.  there are 53 items in it.  they offered to place the order if i could read off every item in the cart.  LOL

oh - the genius at tech support had this advice to offer (because i guess i'm the only one with this problem) - clear your cookies.  moron.

Something in your cart has an inventory issue.  The only way to find out what it is is to use "save for later" on half of the items from your cart and see if check out works (it is easier to do save for later, remove will take you too long)... If it does, add one or two items at a time until you find the item that is stopping the process... if it doesn't remove everything from the cart and add part of the first half of the order and try again.  I usually just shop on Amazon because this happens to me all the time.  I like to make large 50+ item purchases on Walmart and this issue gets me everytime.  I've gone all the way up to executive support for 3 years now trying to tell them about the error and have them switch website staff or just use Amazon staff because they have an inventory management technical problem, but clearly, they don't get enough complaints and don't fix it not realizing how many people have moved on and purchased somewhere else.  Wal-Mart if you are reading this, set up a Splunk server to find out how many people put things in their carts and never check out. This may give you a reason to revamp your website or your online inventory management or add some sort of script that goes in and finds the problem item and automatically moves it to "save for later" like Amazon does.
