Put in safe zone, can't reset password, can't access help site

Was emailed my account was put in "safe zone" and that I needed to reset my password.  Tried numerous times to do so with different results - none satisfactory.  (Ooops! Error - letting techs know!"  "validation error" "can't access at this time" and so on.)

Was e-mailed that my password needed to be reset for security reasons. Created new password but keep getting message that "authentication failed"; the same thing happens when I use my old password. I use one e-mail address and it's correct so that's not the problem.
