Greyed out in safari on ipad

usually when i receive a pininterest email and i click on one of the New Boards, it takes me to Safari where it opens up   and the board can be looked at. Since the last updates. When i click on a new board to look at it takes me to safari openes up then takes me to my Piniterest app on the home page. If i then find my way back to safari the board is still on safari but greyed out and not usable. This is VERY FRUSTRATING. please can you solve this problem.
