Lost connection to Comcast emails

1-17-15, turned on IPhone 4S and found Yahoo and Gmail works for those emails, but all emails for my Comcast account are gone - Nada. No connection. Older "not deleted yet) emails are gone and no new emails are coming in. However, the same Comcast account on my Mac and on my PC is working just fine, and I am receiving emails and also able to send emails using my comcast.net email . What did Comcast do overnight? Have had this set-up for two years and I did nothing to my phone esxcept turn it off overnight.
More importantly, do I waste my time contacting Comcast, go to Verizon, or can I fix myself? Thanks!
