Was able to log on then got kicked off

Tried several times to logon with error msg. Then tried one more time and was kicked off with following msg: For security reasons, your session is no longer active.
It's okay if we can't log onto our acounts but it would be beneficial to everyone if WF would change the error message to read that their servers are down as a precaution for possible security breach and/or attack.
It is confusing to people when this happens, don't keep us in the dark, we have enough of that coming from Washington DC!
