Site:

I operate a business, and aside from the complete site meltdowns over the last year or so, affecting my ability to print/ship labels, I've had to deal with the newest USPS incompetency: no order history for wellover a MONTH. I can ignore the fact that USPS won't update, acknowledge on their website with a message that alerts users to problem, and that they are 'working on it'. But what i can't understand is WHY THE HELL IT'S BENN DOWN FOR A MONTH+!!!

Problem 1: Had entire day's worth of labels get entered, only to have the all-too-routine site crash when I was about to print the labels. So, I had th schlep up to P.O. and address a dozen packages BY HAND and purchase postage without the online discount. Then, because I couldn't login to the history page, guess what- I couldn't request a refund on the labels I had paid for online, but couldn't print due to site crash! My recourse? Sit on hold for an hour when makign a call to USPS. No one picked-up, and I hung-up. I called my CC company and disputed the transaction instead.

Problem 2: Several customers contact me "where's my package". I have to tell them "I don't know, and I cannot tell you because I have NO tracking informaiton available to me, because I cannot access my order history". Does the customer blame the USPS I.T. department for being incompetent boobs? Nope, they blame me.

Problem 3: Unrelated to history, but I had THREE customers tracking info (the ones who actually received from USPS automated e-mail system) show as 'out for delivery' in my city, despite the fact that these parcels were all out-of-state.

The incompetency continues.
