app flashes on start, iOS 9.2.1, ok on older OS

My iPhone 6+ running iOS9.2.1 (latest as of 2/5/16) cannot run the Pinterest app. Even after an uninstall of the app, reboot phone, fresh install of the app, the same problem occurs. App runs OK on my iPad (running iOS 7).
