cannot get mail on iphone

I've double-checked my settings for incoming mail, and they are correct. At one point earlier, the incoming mail address had been changed (not by me) to imap.comcast.net. I changed it back to mail.comcast.net. I had several hundred emails that have now disappeared on my iphone, and I also have no copies of sent mail. They've vanished. My phone says "No Mail" on each of those screens. This happened a few hours ago.
