Cannot retrieve new AOL mail

Unable to retrieve AOL mail. At least on iPhone 4S. Since 8:56PM July 8, 2015. I keep getting a window saying the server imap.aol.com isn't responding & I should check my account settings (which almost certainly are correct--they haven't been touched since I set up the Email in my phone & were working fine yesterday prior to 8:56PM). Frustrating!
